Order processed but I feel insulted

Although I got my order in the end but I feel a bit insulted because I had to send them my ID and scanned photo of my card to prove that it was mine. I dont know why it happened but i feel insulted and discriminated. I dont think they ask many others to send their their IDs, do they? Not a very good first impression for a foreigner.
