When it comes to VPS or Dedicated Servers, hardware and price is not everything, support suddenly becomes extremely important. Especially when there is no automatic way to inform users about their VPS or Server being down. I have bought a Linux VPS from vps-mart.com, apparently it was a very good deal as it had 2GB RAM and 2 CPU cores listed in the package making it very attractive for the price. I have many years’ experience in server management so it was easy for me to setup my VPS however I did notice that my VPS was considerable slower for the specs offered. I have some of my websites hosted on even a 1GB RAM VPS but they were loading faster than this VPS with 2GB RAM. Anyways I stayed with Vpsmart for a month in which my VPS went down twice. Both times I had to contact them several times and my websites were offline for almost two days.
It looks like they don’t have a dedicated support person on the spot or they are just reselling VPS from anyone else which is causing them to respond so slowly. VPS-Mart certainly need to improve their support team if they want to stay in web hosting business.
Their VPS packages are cheaper than many so if you have some test projects to run then may be you should use their VPS.
If your VPS goes down then just pray that they see your email and do something. Expect atleast 6 to 8 hours delay from support as per my experience.
As I said earlier, If you need VPS for some testing purposes then you can use VPS-Mart without any issues as it wont cause you any trouble if your VPS goes out of hands for a day or two but if you are hosting traffic bearing websites, then I am sure you will lose more than what you are saving by their low VPS prices.
